This makes a quick smooth strong brew. Coffee is hotter & smoother than with drip syle makers. No need for filters either as the stainlees basket keeps them contained & lid snaps on tight letting you pour the coffee without having to remove the basket/stem first. Handy to disconnect the cord & bring the pot to the table too. The model I have has a different lid (a clear plastic bubble on lid) which I replaced with a glass one I bought here on Amazon. Nice looking, handsome pot.
