Great replacement but be careful of the size
By P.E.I.
When I received it, it was half the size of my press! Their 4 cup is actually 2 mugs. If your press makes about 4 mugs of coffee, then you need the 8 cup replacement. The 4 cup did fit in my press so I kept it and it works great.

Replacement for Your Oh-So-Fragile 17 oz. Bodum Glass Carafe.
By mirasreviews
If you own a Bodum French press, you'll probably have occasion to replace the glass carafe eventually. Mine lasted two years before the spout shattered when I accidentally knocked it against another glass item in my dish rack. This #1504-10 replacement carafe or "spare glass", as Bodum puts it, has a capacity of 0.5 liters or 17 fl.oz. and is approximately 5 inches high and just over 3 3/4 inches in diameter. It fits Bodum's 4-cup glass coffee presses, though I am not sure it fits every model. Mine is a Chambord. It's best to check the dimensions and capacity of your broken carafe to make sure. This carafe will not fit locking lid or double wall models.Keep in mind that the 4 cups refer to European cups, which are about 4 ounces. The 4-cup model holds 2 American 8-ounce cups. If you have trouble getting your replacement carafe to fit in the frame, loosen the screw at the top of the handle. My replacement carafe is of slightly thicker borosilicate glass than the original, which is fine by me. I don't expect it will prevent another mishap, though. I noticed that Bodum now offers its Chambord coffee press with a "shatterproof" carafe made of BPA-free SAN plastic. It's not as attractive, but it's an option if you're frustrated by shattering glass. I like the look of mine so much that I will risk the glass for the time being.

First photo is misleading
By Su
The main photo with this listing is of the taller, narrower carafe that Bodum calls 1503. What you actually get is a short, squat one, 1504. The second photo and the description are correct, but if you're looking at the first image and thinking, "Yeah, that's what I want" ... it's not.
