I like my coffee. I prefer a cup that is free of coffee grounds and sludge. In addition I wish to lowerthe level of "diterpenes" in my coffee as diterpenes* raises serum cholesterol which is bad for human blood circulation.So I searched for filters that will control these problems.Filters are very important when brewing coffee. A good filter removes sludge and keeps coffee grounds out of the coffee.However, metal filters will not work as only a really good paper filter can significantly lower harmful diterpenes.These Melitta filters perform well on each of my requirements. They keep the sludge and grounds out of my coffee andlower the diterpenes. I recommend these filters.* Diterpenes come from the oily components of coffee beans. Scientific tests have demonstrated that only paper filters made of 100 g/cm2 paper sufficiently remove this acid.

These filters fit my 4 cup Mr. Coffee machine very well. They are easy to separate when removing from the package and really improve the taste of the coffee. The shipping was fast and very convenient.

The filters fit my six cup hamilton beach brew station perfectly. There is no trimmimg necessary like with the standard size filters.
