This item would have been wonderful had the rubber insert not been stuck to the glass upon arrival.After multipleattempts it finally released from the glass but with a residual amount of rubber left behind. Even with multiple washingsit remains on the glass.Unfortunately I waited several weeks to use it and have since discovered it leaks profuselywith each use due to the torn rubber.

I chose this because I usally only make a few cups of coffee in the AM, However I do wish I got the bigger modelIt's just a a full cup less than what i wanted! It does However brew one tasty cup of coffee!

Nice coffee press with serious flaw.

The thin glass carafe cracked within the first week. So far I have been unable to find a replacement. I believe that there have been others who have had the same problem.
