There's 4 EZ Steps to use it:
1: Open by separating both parts,
2: Add one tablespoon of medium ground coffee or tea in the bottom compartment.
3: Push both parts together, making sure they are tightly closed.
4: Position your EZ Way Coffee Maker on cup carefully, fill the top reservoir with boiling water and let it filter completely into your own coffee mug.
Dishwasher safe or wash in warm soapy water, then rinse.

Easy to use simple design

I've been satisfied with my Melitta #2 filter drip coffee maker. I read that paper filters remove oils from the coffee and that diminishes some of the coffee's flavor, but metal mesh filters let the oils through. So I decided to try this one. If there is a difference in flavor, it eludes me. Okay, so I'm not a connoisseur. I'm satisfied with the results of both types of coffee makers.Paper filters aren't that inconvenient, but eliminating them is nice; I save almost 3¢ a cup (whoopee!). Just follow the directions on the box using about a tablespoon of coffee (I use a little more). I boil about 10 oz. of water in the microwave for 3-3½ minutes, then pour it into this coffee maker to get a nice cup of coffee in a couple of minutes. I'm puzzled by the one-star reviews...this isn't rocket science!To avoid getting burnt, be sure to run cool water through the device before separating the parts to dump the hot grounds. Then run cool water through the filter to remove all the grounds.ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:After using this device for a few days, I have additional comments.Cleanup:The paper filter Melitta does filter out the oils, but is so much easier to clean because you just lift out the filter (after any residual dripping stops) with the wet grounds and throw it in the trash. Alternatively, rinse out the filter while it's still in the Melitta and pour the grounds directly down the sink drain. Then scrunch the empty filter to throw in the trash.For this type device, the two parts should be slowly separated within the sink. Doing so most likely will let some grounds, stuck to the bottom of the top section, fall onto your hands and into the sink. The bottom filter section needs to be turned over to rinse out the grounds. Do this directly over the drain (if possible) with a sink spray hose, otherwise grounds will go all over the sink. This is why I find this device a messy cleanup. I always wished having a fresh Delicious brewed coffee while I am camping etc, but now it came to be real!It took me a few tries to see the amount of coffee required for a good deep coffee, and now its working superior!with it special slow dripping design it is giving the coffee the most out of its taste,I am carrying it along everywhere I am going, always I find hot water, and I have fresh brewed coffee without any limitations!additionally its easy to use, easy to clean, great price, I am very satisfied with it.I would recommend everyone buying this GREAT product!
