not as good as it used to be

For all the company's words about German engineering and quality, don't be fooled; this is a much, much cheaper product that cuts corners as to quality. The finish is very bad and stains easily (even coffee drips, for example are pretty much permanent because the "enamel" is now a poor porous paint job that will never keep clean.) You can't scrub the stains off becasue the paint will rub away. We used to have another one of the same make and model that lasted many years without stains, but this one--no. It is a shame to see such an old and trusted company shoot itself in the foot like this.

Excellent design, professional quality

This is an excellent product with exceptional design. It's pricey, but it's used at high-end hotels, resorts, spas, etc, so it is not only beautiful and functional, but it should last a long time. We bought one for a friend in Japan and carried it all the way over there! If you're looking for a high-quality product, this is a good bet.
