2It works.... at the very least
By BigTop
This is the second stove top espresso maker I have purchased from Amazon and the third I have owned. The first two were Bialetti branded 3 cup and 9 cup. I used the Bialetti until the seal between the two sections started to disintegrate and I had no idea where to buy another one. So, I thought I would give a different brand a try. Why not the Cuisinox 12 Cup Stove top espresso maker? Who doesn't want even more espresso? When I opened the box there were noticeably no instructions for the product. It's not like this is rocket science, but if I hadn't have already been a regular user of these devices I might have been befuddled. What made me want the instructions was the presences of two seals. One seal was silicone and the other rubber. My other espresso makers used the rubber kind. Was the silicone one an actual seal? Was it just a place holder? Why two kinds? Well I decided to try the silicone version. I had some success, but it did not seal very well and splattered out the middle. I switched to the rubber one and had better success. On the topic of the seal. It doesn't fit as snugly as I am used to in these devices. The filter it is paired with seems fairly cheap and was slightly dented right out of the box.The construction of this espresso maker feels flimsy. The lid closes slightly askew of how it obviously should close. The handle is plastic and feels unsubstantial. The handles on all my espresso makers have been unimpressive and usually break at some point.I gave this two stars because it actually does make espresso with the taste and flavor I am used to. Otherwise I am unimpressed with the quality of this product.

1Cuisinox 9 Cup Stovetop Espresso Maker
By John
I have owned 5-6 stovetop espresso makers, this is my first 9 cup and my first Cuisinox. The gasket that came with this espresso maker is too small. Every time I make a pot, the gasket and strainer fall out. This is the only stovetop espresso maker I have ever used where the gasket didn't fit. This pot is also made in China and I believe all of my others are made in Italy. The cost to all of the other makes I have purchased is comparable. It seems like a very simple thing to have an espresso maker and supply it with a gasket that actually fits.

5Cuisinox Expresso Stovetop Coffee Maker
By Levelle M Laney
I purchased this Cuisinox Espresso Stovetop Coffee maker for my sister for her birthday and she loves it. She uses it every morning and it is probably one of the best gifts she has ever received. Very simple, inexpensive, no fuss, quick, strong, concentrated Espresso. The term "3-Cup" is giving a few customers a problem. It, in this case, does not mean 3 full cups (24 ounces) of watered down, drip-brewed coffee, but 3 shots (1/3 cup or approximately 2.6 ounces) of pure, strong, concentrated coffee with a thicker consistency. Espresso has more caffeine per unit volume than drip-brewed coffee, and this is what Expresso drinkers want. A quick shot to get them going; Espresso! This Espresso maker is probably not for those who want to drink coffee all morning, but for those who want the instant, long lasting charge to get them going and keep them going for hours and it works for her. I am giving this 5 stars because it does exactly what is suppose to do, make strong, concentrated shots of coffee (Espresso cup-sized). She says "It's just perfect!", "I love it!", "It's just right!". I hope this review helps coffee drinkers understand the difference in what they are buying. Do you want to take a shower or would you prefer a long bubble bath?
