The Best! Simply THE BEST!!

In my gazillion years of coffee drinking, I've been through them all: Bunn, Mr. Coffee, Westinghouse, you name it...This was my first Hamilton Beach. It is the best coffee maker I have ever had. Absolutely NO Drips when you pour. Fast brew times, easy-to-set timer. There isn't a bad thing about this machine. I highly, highly recommend it!!!UPDATE: OCT 31. Still absolutely no problems with my Hamilton Beach. The carafe cleans easily, the machine is simple to operate, and I haven't had one drip when pouring. My 5 stars still stands!UPDATE: FEB 14. The first problem with my coffee machine has reared its ugly head. One of the best features of the machine is the brew timer. Mine goes on at 3:15 am, I leave for work at 6:20 am, and with the 2 hour cycle, I only have to push it off and on once to get the burner to stay hot until I'm done with the pot. When I got home yesterday, the blue lights indicating that indicate whether or not the burner/coffee pot is on, were off. Problem is, the burner was still hot - 11 hours AFTER it should have gone off. The only way to get the burner to turn off was to unplug the machine. I will be very wary of this, but man, I really like this coffee maker, and am kind of bummed that it should do this.

I ordered this coffee maker a month ago, and while I can't attest to its longevity, so far I really like everything about it. Some of the characteristics that are especially great--1. No spills. I have had coffeemakers in the past with hard-to-fill reservoirs or spill-prone carafes. Due to the design of the reservoir and the carafe spout, you'd really have to try hard to cause spills with this coffeemaker.2. The display and controls are big, simple, and easy to use. 2-hour shut-off is great.3. We have hard water and our last coffee maker died due to mineral build-up. This coffee maker has an optional filter that you can buy to avoid this problem.All around really happy with it! Plus, obviously, it's red which makes it cooler than most kitchen appliances.

This coffee pot was just what I was looking for and at the right price. It doesn't drip while pouring. It is quiet so my parrot does not mimic it loudly first thing in the morning while I'm trying to get awake. It has all the necessary setting for any coffee pot and brews a good cup of coffee.
