Does the Job

This product does its job with really no problem. However, like the original, it is not built to last a long time. The wire mesh just barely fits into the bottom of the unit and, over time, pulls away, letting grounds get into the coffee. You must handle the cleaning carefully to prolong its life.

Perfect fit

Fits my Braun coffee maker perfectly, measures 4-5/8" diameter, 4" tall. The original filter lasted 6 years before the screen separated from the plastic at the bottom.

Does an Okay Job, But

The filter does eliminate wasteful paper filters. The gold screen makes cleanup easy and I believe the gold coating prevents the metal base from transfering a metalic taste to the coffee. However, the screen is very thin and can be damaged easily when washing it. And like another reviewer, the screen can separate from the bottom if you are not careful. Also, this should not be put in the diswasher like they advertise. We put it in the dishwasher and eventually it removed the gold coating. Wash the filter by hand - gently.
